POLICY VOLUNTEERS

YMCA Board members serve as policy volunteers and serve on their Boards on behalf of their communities and the YMCA members whom they represent. Today our YMCAs serve more than 14,500 members in health and wellness programs, youth activities, childcare and day camping across SW Ontario. More than 700 families access our licensed child development
centres across our region, and more than 25,000 participate in a variety of ways including; YMCA swimming programs, career development counselling and training, and through volunteer service during a calendar year.

The YMCA offers a broad range of fulfilling volunteer experiences. Volunteer work involves training, and hands-on experience that engages your interests and skill sets. Volunteers on our Board also hold a fiduciary responsibility to their YMCA, ensuring its relevance and health in our community today, and into the future.
