Services and programs at the YMCA Learning and Career Centre are divided into four distinct departments:
- Immigrant Services
- Employment Services
- Community Services
- International Development
Available services include: employment services for youth seeking and maintaining employment, language and settlement programs for newcomers to Canada, resources and referrals for individuals living in geared to income housing, after school programs that promote healthy living, services for low income families who desire access to sports and leisure activities for their children, community mediation and international development opportunities. The Lambton Kent District School Board Alternative & Continuing Education Centre is also located in the building for individuals who are pursuing a Grade 12 diploma or wish to upgrade courses.
The YMCA Learning and Career Centre is a renovated school with plenty of natural lighting and classrooms with appropriate space and amenities to promote optimum learning for students/clients. The Centre has an on-site licensed childcare, accessibility to computers, a large multipurpose room for activities, a lunch room, outdoor green space and plenty of free parking.
Rooms are available to rent for functions or events.
