'Building our new Y' Capital Campaign

Our dreams have become reality. Construction has been completed on our new YMCA in Chatham-Kent and we opened for business in July! The new YMCA will serve thousands of citizens and will provide opportunities for everyone to learn, participate, and make healthier lifestyle choices. It features two pools, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, specialized rooms for dance, yoga, pilates and other classes, as well as dedicated spaces for educational initiatives and community gatherings. Although licensed childcare will not be offered directly at the new building, the YMCA remains committed to providing high-quality childcare services within the Chatham-Kent community.

Financial support of $8.8M from Federal and Provincial Infrastructure Government funding, along with local corporate and private donations will help us complete our new YMCA. Our capital campaign has currently raised $4.2M toward our $5M goal. That means we’re only $800,000 away from our goal and we believe our giving communities will help us realize it!
