When you donate to the YMCA Annual Campaign, 100% of your donation goes to ensuring that those on a low income: kids, youth, adults, families and seniors, all get the chance to join a YMCA program that is designed to build better health.
YMCA programs are proven to have a positive impact on low income children, youth and families, dramatically enhancing their health and overall wellbeing, both today and well into the future.
Your Gift Helps:
A low income family stay active and healthy with a YMCA membership
- Give a child living in poverty a safe, fun and positive character-building experience at a YMCA Camp;
- Give youth at risk a chance to build leadership skills in a fun environment;
- Provide struggling teens and adults with the help they need to transition to full employment;
- Ensure a low income school-aged child will benefit from literacy, recreation and homework assistance at a YMCA After-School program;
- Engage youth in meaningful volunteer opportunities;
- Families access child care, recreation and support services during a time of illness, crisis or loss of employment;
- Newcomers to Canada settle and integrate into our community.
