Canadian YMCAs are partnered with YMCAs in almost 40 countries to exchange human, financial and technical resources overseas and organize a range of public engagement programs, including the commemoration of YMCA World Peace Week each November.

47 Canadian YMCAs have 36 partnerships with YMCAs around the world; together, they work on strengthening youth leadership, health education, job training and peace and conflict resolution.

With Associations in 124 countries and a strong worldwide network, YMCAs are uniquely positioned to help effect meaningful change on a local and global level. Fostering a sense of responsibility to each other and the global community is part of the YMCA mission in Canada.

YMCAs in Canada:

• Partner with YMCAs overseas to build upon the programs and services already in place
• Foster a sense of global citizenship through global awareness and education programs as well as fundraising
• Place a strong emphasis on developing youth leaders and organizing international youth exchanges
