Youth Transitions Program (YTP)

London & Sarnia

Our Youth Transitions Program is a voluntary program offered free of charge to students ages 12-19. The program connects students with support they need for educational attainment, future success, and acquiring life skills. There is no defined start or end time for the student’s involvement, which means participants can enter and leave the program when they are ready. Teens can sign up through self-referral by contacting the Youth Transitions Program Supervisor.

The program goals are to:

  • Empower students to reach their fullest potential
  • Strengthen and enhance student’s social networks and foster a sense of belonging
  • Build student’s educational resiliency and aspirations
  • Improve connectivity and access to technology

Students can participate in all the activities or just one stream including:

  • One-to-one support
  • Life skills workshops (ie. budgeting, resume building)
  • Mentorship
  • Participation with the YMCA National Youth Advisory Council
