Youth Transitions Program (YTP) 

London & Sarnia 

Our Youth Transitions Program is a voluntary program offered free of charge to vulnerable youth ages 12-19. The program connects students with support they need for educational attainment, future success, and acquiring life skills. Participants can enter and leave the program when they are ready and can sign up through self-referral.

Program goals are to:  

  • Empower students to reach their fullest potential 
  • Strengthen and enhance student’s social networks and foster a sense of belonging 
  • Build student’s educational resiliency and aspirations 
  • Improve connectivity and access to technology 

Students can participate in all the activities or just one stream including: 

  • One-to-one support 
  • Life skills workshops (ie. budgeting, resume building) 
  • Mentorship 
  • Participation with the YMCA National Youth Advisory Council

Locations

Programs run Monday to Thursday in-person from 4-6 pm and Fridays virtually.

London:
Monday to Thursday @382 Waterloo St, Centre Branch YMCA
Fridays – virtual
Please note that on the second Friday of each month (March 10th, April 14th, etc.) we run one session at the Centre Branch YMCA and one at the Startech.com YMCA., therefore there is no workshop on Thursdays those weeks.

Sarnia:
Mondays to Thursdays @ 660 Oakdale Ave, YMCA Learning Centre & Career Centre
Fridays - virtual
