Located on the rocky shores of Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay Islands National Park, YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth (CQE) is a leader in providing quality camping experiences for youth in a positive, supportive environment (since 1953). Through a wide range of activities, we encourage campers to challenge themselves and develop friendships that last a lifetime.

2021 Camp Registration 

This year, we will be offering a period of priority registration for our 2020 campers that missed their camp session due to camp’s 2020 closure.  Priority registration opens on January 25, 2021 for all non-leadership summer camp programs, Family Camps, and Adult Camps.

For all CQE Leadership programs there is lottery placement process, open only to 2020 registered campers this year. The 2021 CQE Leadership Lottery opens Monday, January 11 at 9am and closes Friday, January 15 at 4pm. To apply for the lottery, you must submit an application ONLINE between these times. 

The lottery will take place the week of January 18 to 22. Participants who receive their first choice will be automatically signed up for the program and notified by email. Participants who did not get their first choice will be added to the waitlist with a spot held in their second choice until the camping branch confirms with the participant that they would like to take the spot.

Public registration will begin on February 8th, including any leadership spots that are still open.

COVID-19 Updates for the 2021 Season

At CQE we remain committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all our campers, their families, and our staff team.  We are optimistic that we will be able to return to camp in 2021 and are continuing to work with our provincial and local health authorities as we plan for the upcoming camp season to ensure the safest possible camp experience for your campers. 

While our health authorities are still developing guidelines to support safe camp operations, we do know that this coming camp season may look different than prior seasons.  Additional health and safety measures will be put in place and we will be providing regular updates to our camper families though our website and emails regarding any changes to our day-to-day camp practices and what COVID-19 safety measure will be required.  

There will be a COVID health screening process that every participant and their family will be required to complete to participate in camp programs. The screening will include a pre-screening before arrival and screening questions upon arrival. If anyone in a family shows symptoms of COVID-19 or any other communicable illness, they will be asked to delay arrival or may be unable to participate in the program in its entirety.

Financial Assistance
YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth is committed to providing camp experiences for all youth, regardless of economic circumstances. Through the YMCA Strong Kids program, CQE is able to provide financial assistance to families who are unable, but not unwilling, to pay the full camp fee.
