Angela's Y story
“My Family and I became members to the YMCA in 2008. At this time we heard about the Strong Kids Program which was able to assist us in to being able to afford our membership. Our lives have changed so much over the past 7 years. I became a single mom shortly after getting the membership at the YMCA. My children became very involved in the programs that were offered to them. My son did swimming lessons and the Mini Y with teacher Pat. My Daughter enjoyed the play zone and free swim with my son and I. They both became great little swimmers and Faith learned how to walk with the life guards pool side. A lot of milestones happened at the YMCA.
I'm now the strongest I have ever been. I feel confident, strong and I never feel alone. I want to say thank you to everyone at the YMCA and everyone who have donated to the YMCA Strong Kids program. Without them I would not be where I am today and my journey still continues.”
