Back on Track

The Y and the St. Clair Catholic District School Board, Avon Maitland District School Board and the Huron-Perth Catholic School Board, are proud to launch Back on Track, an academic suspension program designed to support students from grade 7 through high school in Chatham-Kent, Clinton, and Goderich.

The Back on Track program transforms moments of crisis into opportunities for reflection, growth and a fresh start. It empowers youth to reclaim their future by addressing the root causes of their suspensions and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed through:

A safe and welcoming environment;
The development of self-esteem and social skills;
Encouraging self-respect and respect for others.

The program provides a supportive environment where students develop critical social skills, build autonomy and receive guidance to re-engage with their education. Each student’s plan is customized to meet their unique needs. Trained educators work closely with parents, guardians, and schools, maintaining daily communication to ensure a seamless and supportive process.
