Full Day Child Care

At the Y, we believe that play is the primary way in which children learn. That's why our team of dedicated educators, including Registered Early Childhood Educators and program staff, implement our acclaimed YMCA Playing to Learn™ Curriculum at our Licensed Child Care Centres throughout the region. This national, research-based curriculum is regularly cited for its unique and innovative involvement of educators and children in an enriched learning environment.

Our YMCA WeemarkableTM app makes it easier for families to connect to the small moments and big milestones of their child's day. Photos, the weekly menu, daily observations about your child's play, rest and physiological needs are captured and shared throughout the day.

Age Groups

Infant Care (birth - 18 months)

Our licensed Infant Program offers small group care with a 1:3 ratio and a maximum group size of 10, ensuring each child receives consistent, responsive support throughout the day. Educators document infants’ sleep, meals, and diapering routines daily using our Weemarkable communication app. Working in partnership with families, educators develop individualized schedules that reflect each infant’s needs and align with your family’s lifestyle.

Toddler Care (18 months - 2 1/2 years)

Our Licensed Toddler Program offers small group care with a 1:5 ratio and a maximum group size of 15. Toddlers follow a flexible daily routine, with each child’s sleep, meals, and diapering times documented through our Weemarkable™ communication app. Educators regularly connect with families to share updates on their toddler’s development and to discuss any questions or concerns.

Preschool Care ( 2 1/2 - 5 years)

Our Licensed Preschool Program offers small group care with a 1:8 ratio and a maximum group size of 24. Preschool children follow a flexible daily schedule that is responsive to their interests and emerging curiosities. Educators document and share your child’s learning experiences and progress each day through our Weemarkable communication app. Families also meet with educators to discuss development, future learning goals, and any questions or concerns.
