TD and Fellow Funders Create “Laugh Out Loud” Moments for Young Campers at YMCA Summer Day Camp
YMCA Summer Day Camp is officially underway for Summer 2026, with more than 900 children (ages 4-12) participating in camp’s first weekly session. This summertime program is offered in 20 locations across Southwestern Ontario – from Chatham-Kent to Goderich and Sarnia to London.
Thanks to the generosity of TD and its fellow funders, YMCA Summer Day Camp is even more accessible to kids of all backgrounds, beliefs, and abilities. This includes children with financial barriers; children who are new to Canada; and children with physical, developmental, or behavioural barriers who require one-on-one counsellor support.
“The Y is for everyone – and we’re very grateful to TD and all of our funders for giving kids the chance to shine in the summertime,” says Kelly Ziegner, Chief Operating Officer, YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. “Summer Day Camp is both an important child care resource for families and a safe place for kids to experience adventure, friendship, and fun. Our amazing donors ensure that camp is accessible to all.”
Many generous funders support YMCA Summer Day Camp including TD, The Catherine and Maxwell Meighen Foundation, and the Dorothy and Douglas Parnell Fund at London Community Foundation.
