Tomorrow, September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which coincides with Orange Shirt Day. In 2018, YMCAs unanimously declared our commitment to reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
Today we share with you the Y’s Statement of Reconciliation and invite you to explore a map of Indigenous territories, treaties, and languages across the world here. We hope you’ll join us tomorrow and wear an orange shirt in honour of residential school Survivors & their families.
