Located in the heart of Point Pelee National Park, Camp Henry offers camp experience for campers 5-16.  From swimming in the lake, singing camp songs around the fire, making new friends in the dining hall, and going on nature adventures - there’s never a dull moment at Camp Henry. Central to our program philosophy is the belief that spending time and having fun in an outdoor community creates an environment that allows participants to develop our five core values: Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Honesty, and Inclusiveness.

Coming to Camp

Camp is an exciting and fun-filled place with new friends, spaces, adventures, and experiences. Getting your camper ready is an important part of a positive camp experience. 

Here are answers to the top questions about camp, based on the Y’s over 70 years of camping experience.

Being Safe

Camp Henry is a positive space where people of any background, belief, ability are welcomed and respected. Our staff are trained and experienced in providing high quality care for our campers and ensuring that the needs of each camper are met.

All of our counsellors have current First Aid, CPR, and YMCA Healthy Child Development training. During activities, staff carry first aid kits to ensure that bumps, scrapes and bruises can be taken care of immediately.

Feeling Comfortable

While camp offers opportunities for close friendships and new group skills, young people can react to these changes in many different ways. At Camp Henry it is our goal to provide a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for each camper.

Camp Arrival & Departure 

Upon entrance to the National Park, please inform the gate staff that you are arriving to drop off or pick up a camper from YMCA Camp Henry. The Parks staff will be expecting you and will let you in to access our camp.
